PUBLICATIONS/ NEW! Deciphering Earth's History: the Practice of Stratigraphy

Edited by Angela L. Coe

Stratigraphy allows us to establish and communicate the timings for the course of Earth history and provides the means to determine the duration and rates of Earth processes. Deciphering Earth’s History: the Practice of Stratigraphy focuses on how to apply the wide spectrum of stratigraphical techniques. It also explains how these techniques can be integrated and details their individual strengths and limitations.

“I think that this "how to" approach to the subject matter is commendable and I am really pleased to see this book has been developed” - Gary Nichols (RPS Energy, UK)

EDUCATION/ Become a STEM Ambassador

STEM Ambassadors are positive role models in Science, Technology, Engineering or Maths who volunteer to support education for young people. Becoming a STEM Ambassador can provide access to training and the opportunity to use your skills supporting teacher requests for help with geology or geoscience activities amongst many other things.

It's totally free to be a STEM Ambassador and the only commitment is to record one volunteer activity per year, although we’d love you to do as much as you can. If you’d like to find out more visit the
website.
